Woodland Office

The proposals for the office describe a simple timber structure that sits quietly within the woodland setting. It has fully glazed, square ends that will allow natural light to enter the space and afford views out to the woodland beyond. The sides of the structure have clear polycarbonate panels set in between solid panels, which will also allow filtered views through the building and provide a gentle glow when lit from the inside.

Externally the office is clad in vertical timber battens which will be sourced and milled on site from the local trees. Internally, a series of 24mm thick birch faced plywood ‘fins’ will support the side walls roof structure. Between every other pair of fins are plywood storage cupboards which was a key component of the brief.
